Importing Vehicle into Australia

The importation of vehicles into Australia is a complex and intensive project. There are various schemes under which you may be granted an approval to import a motor vehicle into Australia. These are
Full Volume
New Low Volume Vehicles
Registered Aumotive Workshop Scheme

There is also other means by which an approval to import may be granted. These are

Pre-1989 ( i.e built before 1989)
Personal import
Letter of compliance (i.e A letter from the manufacture with various requirements)
Vehicle previously complied in australia
Overseas visitor( a period of less than 12 months)
Motorsport vehicles
Non transport equipment
